Odor Removal

Smoke, pet, mildew, and biohazard odors. Our 7.5-micron particle-size VaPURE™ technology penetrates porous materials, HVAC pathways, and wall cavities where odor molecules actually live, then leaves an antimicrobial layer that inhibits the growth of the microbes that cause new odors.

Why NY Mold & Clean Air Solutions

Four reasons families across Westchester County and the Hudson Valley choose us first.

A NYS licensed mold remediation contractor doing odor work, so you get the same scope, the same protocol and the same accountability as a full remediation job.

Patented VaPURE™ technology

Licensed to use the patented VaPURE™ vapor system — the same technology studied by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Lab-verified outcomes

Independent third-party clearance reports on every job. We don't ask you to take our word for it.

Safer Chemical Ingredients List

The active component of the sterilant is on the EPA's Safer Chemical Ingredients List, and it breaks down into acetic acid, oxygen and water. Most properties are back in use the same evening.

Local Westchester County experts

Serving Westchester County and the Hudson Valley — homes, rentals, and commercial properties. If the smell turns out to be a mold problem, we are licensed in New York to remediate it, containment and removal included.

Source-Level Treatment

Treats the odor where it lives.

A lot of odor work is masking: perfumes, ozone or sprays that wear off in days. The smell is still in the carpet pad, the wall cavity and the ductwork. Our patented VaPURE™ vapor reaches those places and neutralizes the odor at its source. The antimicrobial protectant it leaves behind inhibits the growth of the microbes that cause new odors.

  • Penetrates porous materials and HVAC pathways
  • Active component on the EPA's Safer Chemical Ingredients List
  • Treats whole-property air volume in one visit
  • Re-treat at no charge if odor returns
The Odor Removal Process

Four stages, in the same order.

Every odor job follows the same protocol — identify, isolate, treat, verify. If the smell comes back, so do we.

01  Stage One

Identify the source

Smoke, pet urine, mildew, biohazard, or food spoilage — the treatment depends on the source. We use UV inspection and moisture mapping to find what's behind the smell, not just where it surfaces.

You'll see what we see. No guessing, no spray-and-pray.

  • UV inspection for organic contamination
  • Moisture mapping for hidden water damage
  • HVAC component inspection

02  Stage Two

Remove or isolate

Where possible we remove or seal the physical source. Porous materials that cannot be cleaned through, such as carpet pad, drywall and insulation, may need replacing. Everything else stays in place.

We tell you what has to go before we open anything up.

  • Source material removal where required
  • Sealing of inaccessible cavities
  • Written scope & pricing before work begins

03  Stage Three

VaPURE™ treatment

The 7.5-micron vapor disperses like a gas and reaches the porous materials, fabrics and HVAC pathways that hold odor molecules. One visit treats the enclosed air across the whole property.

Most properties are back in use the same evening.

Re-test & walkthrough

We return after treatment to confirm with you that the odor is gone. If anything remains, we re-treat at no charge — written into the contract.

That guarantee is what separates source-level odor removal from masking.

  • Post-treatment walkthrough with you
  • Re-treat at no charge if odor returns
  • Guarantee written into the contract
